Newsfire works good with El Capitan. Version2.0 works no longer after the upgrade to macOS Sierra. I hope there comes soon a new version for Sierra (macOS).

Anyone know the difference between the (use to be paid and then became Free) v1 and the (Paid) v2? Nothing here. Nothing at the App Store and noting on the Web site? Why such a secret? What did it get to justify the price and the v2 listing? Judging by the comments on the App Store nothing has changed: "NewsFire cannot synchronize with a Google Reader account. NewsFire cannot import a Google Reader export file without manually changing extension from .xml to .opml. NewsFire cannot view web links within the reader. NewsFire is more polished than Google Reader's web interface, but otherwise is inferior. NewsFire's web site and Mac App Store page lack sufficient information to make an informed purchase. I just wasted $5 on a whim." Why won't the developer tell us what has changed?

Meh, color me underwhelmed. It doesn't import feeds into the hierarchal structure they were exported in, and while the UI is different from all the rest I find the three pane widescreen layout more useful for me.
